Crisis rocks Benue Assembly, EFCC to quiz leadership over N750m fraud (SEE DETAILS)
he Speaker of the Benue House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange and the leadership of the Assembly has been invited by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC in Abuja in connection with a N750 million contract for the purchase of cars for house members.
According to sources within the EFCC, the request for appearance followed a petition by a prominent opposition member of the House who was not satisfied with the manner in which the contract was handled.
Those expected to appear before the EFCC starting from Monday next week are the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange, Deputy Speaker, Hon. James Ejembi Okefe, Majority Leader, Hon Adanyi and Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Nick Eworo.
